Blast Off!

Today couldn't have been a more welcomed day. It was in the 60s and felt totally awesome outside! Even though we were wearing sweatshirts we really didn't need them.

My 3 (almost 4!) year old is in love with rockets. I'm not sure how it started, but he got a rocket for Christmas and his birthday is going to be rocket-themed. He got another rocket for Valentine's Day from his Papa and Nanny. We promised him we would shoot it off this weekend.

We went to our church's parking lot to shoot it. Lots of open space.

Getting it ready...

3...2...1

BLASTOFF! There it is!

There they go!

Roman learned basic physic principles watching his daddy put the rocket together and shoot it off. Action and reaction. Even though we didn't explain these to him, he was starting to get a basic understanding of Newton's Laws of Motion.
